Britten Sinfonia Workshops

A series of music workshops led by Britten Sinfonia and held at middle schools in Great Yarmouth.

The aims of these workshops were to contribute to the professional development of local musicians and provide opportunities for children to engage with a high standard of music.

In February 2003, 60 children from middle schools across the Great Yarmouth borough took part in a series of half-term workshops with the Britten Sinfonia. The project culminated in a live performance alongside the orchestra to an audience of over 150 people.

Not only did this initiative provide children with a wonderful opportunity to be inspired by music but it allowed professional musicians to develop their skills by working in a completely different way.
