Exposure Bursary - a professional development opportunity for artists in Hertfordshire

Green Heart Partnership - Hertfordshire

A limited opportunity for Hertfordshire-based artists to get a glimpse of GHP’s way of working with cross-departmental teams. The bursary covers expenses for artists to shadow the team experiencing the key points in the project’s development.

Lead artists on Green Heart Projects have been able to develop a dynamic relationship with a team incorporating a broad range of expertise; an experience which is informing the development of their own practice, and will benefit the shadow artists in a similar way.

Key points which shadow artists may experience include

• Away Day at Gunpowder Park with cross departmental team to develop project
• Visit to site with lead artist
• Meeting with cross departmental team and lead artist to review progress
• Shadowing lead artist in the community during creative consultation

The shadow artist is also expected to contribute to the project by providing an evaluation of the experience, contributing to the Green Heart e-newsletter, and feeding back to the local arts community about the project.

The Bursary scheme is currently being piloted in Watford.
